you walk through the entryway and rust colored drapes you are greeted
by a friendly staff member that makes you feel like you are coming home
to enjoy a meal with family and friends. As you are seated at your table
the aromatic smell of garlic wafts in the air as you take in the ambient
surroundings of this quaint restaurant. You now have the opportunity to
really look around the room and take in the décor that accentuates
the establishment including warm, inspiring pictures of Italy. The glass
dessert case catches your eyes and you marvel at the delicate delights
on display. Many types of Italian pastries and desserts make you smile
fondly, as you are already thinking of what might I order after my meal?
You then notice the banquette that is so inviting with the various wine
bottles surrounding the area. Various plants and flora adorn the room.
The intimate bar area to the right has a delightful selection of full
bodied and robust wines as well as a selection of various brews and beverages.
To the front of the bar the intimate seating area in the corner is adorned
with high top tables and more plants and decorations. A side door exits
onto an outdoor patio area with wrought iron bistro tables and a Gondola
that evokes the true spirit of Old Italy nestled along side the gently
flowing stream. Just a perfect seasonal setting for enjoying some of the
restaurant’s fare. It is truly a relaxing setting both inside and
out.
This was what Joe Viola envisioned when he was fleshing out the idea for
his latest restaurant. One steeped in deep rooted family tradition and
history. Joe is a life long Braintree resident. A strong community activist
dedicated to supporting the Braintree school system and the values that
the city of Braintree has to offer. Joe previously owned and operated
Giomatti’s and Mama Nina’s. In continuing with this latest
endeavor, he brings the talents and experience of a true connoisseur in
fine dining and hospitality to Viola’s.
The expansive menu boasts many fine culinary delights including everything
a true food lover would enjoy that is straight out of northern Italy.
The Chicken Carmen, Chicken Bella’ Boca and Pork Chops w/ Vinegar
Peppers are just a sampling of what the menu holds and is also available
for full takeout. A full catering service is available for private; group
and company functions as well as a new family portion take out meal selection.
